Doing things I said I would NEVER do...

Well we all remember how we were BEFORE we had children don't we? OUR children would never do alot of the things we saw other kids do because we would teach them better!! They would be stand up citizens who ate broccoli and helped fold the laundry whenever it needed folding and sleep through the night from day one.. They would open doors for the elderly and NEVER talk back to us because they would respect us OOOH soo much......uhh yeah right...that little picture book story was burned as soon as the umbilical cord was CUT!

So here I am tonight after getting home from work, running around the house cleaning it up. Why is it messy? Hubby was here all day with the kids surely he could have thrown that extra load of wash on or picked up the clothes and toys on the floor. Seems maybe a crisis bigger then our housework may have happened that I don't know about yet.... So anyways, picked up the house and put away dishes, now onto DINNER!! What the hell should I make tonight?? ugh..what's in the freezer.....FROZEN FISH!! ah HA that and some cut up home fries will be PERFECT....for hubby and I....kids won't eat FISH or a potato cut up that does not come in a red box with a big "M" on the front. UGH..what to do for THEM??

Now I was one of "those" parents that always said that I would NEVER make 3 separate meals for the family. They would eat what I made and if not, go hungry...their choice. Uh well I kinda softened after having these bundles of joy. How could I let them go hungry?? and he doesn't LIKE peas touching his grilled cheese..poor little fella. AHH when did this MUSHING of my personality happen?? it was a sneak attack I think!

So I am making fish and chips for hubby and myself, chicken nuggets, carrots and smilies (potatoes) for ds and alphaghetti, red peppers and whole wheat toast for dd. When did this happen that it has become NORMAL?? I don't even MIND this anymore and perhaps that is a large part of the problem. Hmmmm....
