Swollen Birthday Girl

Well today is my Mom's 62nd birthday and we are having a little party for her tonight at their house. It should be a night filled with food, cake and fine wine but a little KIBOSH in the plan is that she got all 4 of her wisdom teeth out on Monday so she isn't up to real food just yet. Limits the old birthday menu let me tell ya. So I think the rest of us are having Chinese food while she has some kind of protein powder mixed in vanilla ice cream (YUM?). I couldn't leave the girl out of her birthday "cake". Her favorite dessert in the whole wide world is creme caramel so I made her one for tonight. She should be able to gulp that back without too much problem. I did buy a cake for the "other" kids at the party (mainly my Dh and my Dad @@) and the little kids like to watch the blowing out of the candles.

Her presents are a little scarce to say the least. We got her a wrought iron chair planter that has a cute little basket in the seat part of the chair. My Dad..who knows.....he is a last minute shopper kinda guy and shows up with a $3000 leather jacket at minute zero. I kinda like those kinda of shoppers! ;) I did pick him up a LuluLemon hoodie jacket for my Mom (from him) cause she is really liking mine and is the perfect weight for the cooler summer nights and Spring...and Fall...hell she could wear it year round! lmao. Maybe I should start looking under my bathroom cabinet for some unopened hand cream or something!! eek!

I think I'll stop off at a dollar store on the way in and pick up some balloons for the party cause of course she'll have nothing up and we can't have THAT!! Need to bring some streamers too....hmmmmm what else.....anyone think of anything?? THANKS!! hehe
