OMG my eyes are SOOO DRY!! How dry you ask? well I guess pretty darned dry according to the eye specialist I saw today! They put these little strips of paper IN my eyes (the lower lid) and had me sit for about 2 mins then removed them (thank god). So normal is a "15" ..my right eye is a 3 and my left a 5...umm apparently this is BAAAD. I knew they were dry but I didn't think THAT dry. Thing is I have no idea what is causing this!! You start googling dry eyes and you range from dehydration to Lupus..YIKES!! As I read more about Lupus I was almost convinced I had it..until I saw the 11 criteria needed to diagnose which I only have about 2. WHEW.
So right now they are burning even after putting 2 sets of drops in them and I have huge floaters (sorry TMI) and things are blurry. They are always the worst late at night and first thing in the morning. I go back next week for a dilation and results from my swab he took of my eyes (yeeouch)
In other news, Puppy is back home with the breeder. He took her back on Tuesday and even though it's a huge weight off my mind, I can't help but feel sorry and sad for Kona. We did love the girl tonnes but I just wish we could have provided her a more stable first home. Grrr..sometimes I annoy myself for not sticking to my initial reaction. At any rate, she is back to what she knew and gets to play with her brothers and sisters until she finds a new home.
When I came home today from my specialist appointment, I phoned DH to see how everyone was doing. Well I say "where are you?" and he says "you don't want to know"....ummmm ya dude I do actually. So he tells me that they are in the ER and my dd has split her chin open from falling off her trike. OMG. So I go home and think maybe we will meet home at the same time but no one is home. The phone rings and he wants me to come down because she is getting stitches. O M G...STITCHES???? Noooooo! So I prepare myself for the worst. Bring fav blanket and horsey toy and head to ER. Walk in and walk in front of the room they are in and she is getting her chin stitched with no problem whatsoever!! I mean like a HUGE trouper here!! She was just lying down VERY still and this guy was sewing her up like something off Grey's Anatomy. I was amazed. The nurses kept coming up and saying "What an ANGEL!! she hasn't made a SOUND!" and I had to recheck that it was actually MY child on the table. I hung back because I knew if she saw me that would be the end of the quiet, still girl. i was soo proud of my little Carys!!
So I have a little girls weekend coming up with 2 other bloggers...they shall remain nameless as they are HUGE in blogger land and we may get swarmed by paparazzi which would bring our good time down. But the countdown is on.....15 days left until our Margaritas by the pool...hang in there ladies!!!! Save me a lounge chair!!

My poor girl - I understand about eye situations - and I hope the eyes get the needed dip in the pool that they need.
