Shopping for #%$#%^# MEN

It's DH's birthday on Friday and I have NO gift for him...what to do, what to do??!! I have arranged for a little surprise massage from a licensed massage therapist (who is a man so it won't be THAT much fun for him lol) but he rocks and DH keeps complaining about his back and that he has no time to tend to it. Well he will on FRIDAY!!! I am not even going to tell him until we drive up and then I will say "get going, you have a 45 min appt with Iain for your back" and then slink off to my favorite hideaway (SB) for my coffee..hehe.

DH works nights tomorrow so it limits the party parameters as well! I may take ds to get some balloons while he's sleeping and pick up one of those mini cakes for before he goes off to work. I have to do SOMETHING on his birthday....he wants to celebrate it another day but I can't just leave the actual day bland and balloonless (is that a word?) So back to the gift.....

What to get a man that just gets what he wants (within reason)?? I thought an iPod docking speaker thingy...passed it by him and he already HAS one! Good thing I checked cause that would have SUCKED. "oh hun, I have one already downstairs"...ya well YOU SUCK! lmao...ok so what do you get a guy who is into computers but not much else for hobbies than running. I don't think I would score with a pair of running shoes because, quite frankly, he's not a running dynamo lately...would probably just depress him and we can't have THAT!! Having to work on your birthday night sucks enough!

So the plan is to go to Costco and stroll the isles with my youngest while getting some cheese sticks and yogurt. Crap I need to get a card too!! Eeek! Better get the kids dressed and slap some lip gloss on and get at this little task!! Why can't they make this any easier??? I am sooo simple every year because I am broadcasting what I would like in NEON so DH gets it right! and even if I didn't, a gift certificate to Lululemon is ALWAYS a hit! (a huge athletic/yoga wear store here) Him? "Eh I don't know what I want...I don't know what I would get me either". Ya well that's a HUGE help dear..thanks a lot.

Wish me luck....off I go into Costco HELL...that is a very, very, scary store....
