One Week today....

One week today I will be just finishing packing up my suitcase and looking around my bedroom to see if I have forgotten anything.

One week today I will be putting on my cute black skirt, the one with the flowers and sequins at the bottom, and making sure that I packed enough under ware, lounge wear and party wear to last me through the weekend.

One week today I will water my plants and try and get the house to a "higher than normal" state of clean before it topples over into mid level pigsty by Sunday.

One week today I will be getting into our van with the kids and hubby trying to maintain my sanity and excitement on the short ride to the ferry. I may need to keep pinching my right thigh from squealing.

One week today I will wave as I walk onto the ferry and then make a mad dash for the breakfast buffet where I will sit by the window. I will not care as other kids scream and run around the buffet area because they will not be my kids and I will go back for MORE waffles.

One week today I will make my way to the bus ticket dude on the ferry and purchase my ticket to the Downtown Station. I will try not to trip from skipping down the stairs of the ferry to the bus, swinging my purse and lugging my seemingly weightless suitcase.

One week today I will get onto the bus like a country girl on her first bus ride and have a permasmile as I make my way to my seat. I could be sitting next to the smelliest person alive but I will just turn up my iPod a bit and focus on the END of the bus ride.

One week today I will get off the bus and flag down the FIRST Taxi I see and instruct him to RIDE LIKE THE WIND to the Hotel.

One Week today I will grab my purse and suitcase and literally SPRINT for the front doors (after paying the cabbie) in the hopes that my BEST friends Lee-Ann and Elle are there warming up a seat at the bar for my smelly bus self.

One week today I will be enjoying a cocktail, laughing and LOOKING at my friend's faces for the first time since meeting them 6 years ago online. I have never done anything like this before and I know I will remember this weekend for YEARS to come.

I can't WAIT for ONE WEEK TODAY!!!!
