Sun and Stitches

So today we had to take dd to have her stitches taken out of her chin. Our regular doctor had today off and we knew that so it was the luck of the draw of who would be on call today. Of course, it is the guy I can't stand and is a waste of skin with a doctorate. So his bedside manner is as warm as my coffee is at lunchtime and even more so with kids. I knew she needed to get them out and also knew that it was not going to be pretty as they were embedded into the scar on her chin. So in he comes with his suture removal kit and lacklustre style.

Dd really was awesome. As awesome as she was getting the stitches. The guy had to cut into the scab to get at the knots (all 5 of them) and there were a few tears but she remained still for the "doc" to remove them. He had to put another bandage on her chin because it was bleeding but it will be off soon if I know my daughter. Too bad because the girl IS dirt. I will have to keep on her washing her face, etc to make sure it doesn't get infected.

Today the weather has finally decided that it is time for Summer to begin. We have warm temps fore casted all week and I am SOO hoping they last into the "girl's weekend" because shopping and relaxing are SOOO much more fun with a little sun on your face! I am trying to decide if I should go for a sunless tan before the weekend...I am looking a little pastie lately and a little fake colour could do me some good! hehe.
