The Girl's Weekend is over (sniff, sniff)

Well I returned from my Mommy's weekend on Sunday afternoon and quickly descended back into the reality of Motherhood. Maybe a bit TOO quickly (couldn't they have eased me back in?? like maybe I could have stayed at a halfway house or something for a bit!)

So I just had the BEST time. I have only one other weekend with girlfriends that even comes CLOSE and I know from that weekend that times like this weekend are few and far between. It was wild that we all just "clicked" even though we had never met before...just typed back and forth on a keyboard. Yet when we all met up it was like old school friends that could not be separated and had our own joke going the entire visit. All of our sense of humour's are exactly the same. We find all the same stuff funny and are all quirky-weird in the same loser way.

I usually find on trips like this that there is inevitably, one person who keeps talking after the lights are off and you are trying to get to sleep. Not with THESE girls. Lights out, shut UP and PASS OUT! I loved them already!! I cant stand half awake convos..my Mom is notorious for this and I am like "ok Mom can I go to sleep now?" Nope, these girls play hard and rest hard. Perfect!

So girls, thank you. Thank you for a weekend filled with laughter and camaraderie. Thank you for always sitting in the front of Taxis Lee-Ann and leaving the fan on in the bathroom in the morning. Thank you Elle for saving your "softer side" for Sears and allowing me to defile you in the Marriott with a throw pillow. It truly was the best weekend ever.
